Executive Board Membership

Applications for Executive Board memberships have two components: the application itself and an interview process subject to the qualification of the preceding application round.

Subsequent to the release of a “Call for Applications for Executive Officers/Staffers /Members of the Students for Liberty Student Chapter at the Department of Law, University of Calcutta” by the Chapter and subject to vacancies & deadlines specified therein, an application for the such position at the Chapter shall contain a Statement of Interest explaining their rationale behind their decision to join the Chapter, their academic interests and how they intend to contribute to the operation and academic initiatives of the Chapter; and a resume or curriculum vitae of not more than two (2) pages, detailing their achievements, working experience and specific skills. All such applications will be processed through a standalone applications portal through Google Forms. As part of the Application Form, the applicants are required to list their most preferred Executive Board position (Treasurer, Membership Director, Events Director & Public Communications Director) in a decreasing preferential order of first, second, third and final preference.

After qualifying the application round, the qualifying applicants will be notified of the time and manner (and venue, if any) of the interview within one week from the date of submission of application. Executive Board applicants will only be notified subsequently if they have qualified the interview round of the application process.

Eligibility—All undergraduate students enrolled in Year II of B.A., LL.B and above at the Department of Law, University of Calcutta are eligible for applying for this position.

General Membership
